How much is the scholarship worth?

This amount varies from $1000-$5000 depending on the type of scholarship.

Can kids who do not have diabetes attend the conference?

Yes of course! The conference is family-friendly and all are welcome.

What does the scholarship cover?

Registration, hotel stay, and limited meals. Transportation is not included.

Will I be notified if I am not selected?

No

When will I be notified if I am selected?

You will be notified of selection the first week of May.

What is the deadline to apply?

Applications must be postmarked by April 15th.

Will I be disqualified from consideration for a scholarship if I or my family makes too much money?

There are many factors we take in to account when reviewing applicants, income being one factor.

Will I be notified if I am not selected?

You will not be notified if not selected due to the high volume of applications we receive.

When will I be notified if I’ve been selected?

Recipients will be telephoned the first week of June if selected.

Are the scholarships renewable?
No, they are only good for one time.

What do I do if I am missing some information on the application?

You will not be able to submit your application unless all information is complete, including both letters of recommendation.

What is the deadline to apply?

Applications need to be received by midnight on April 15th.

Is the scholarship only open to U.S. citizens or permanent residents?

Yes, unfortunately we cannot accept applications from people outside of this requirement.

Is the application only open to high school seniors?

Yes, you must be a graduating high school senior about to enter college in order to apply.
